Sharyn Peterson, a northwest native, has been performing as a violin, viola, and  voice soloist and chamber musician for many years in the greater Seattle area, Canada, and Costa Rica. She is currently Founder and Concertmaster of the Starry Night Chamber Orchestra, which performs with the Skagit Opera as a pit orchestra for their full scale productions at McIntyre Hall. Ms. Peterson has soloed with many orchestras in the area, performing the Sibelius Violin Concerto three times in the past year, and the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto twice. She conducts the Fidalgo Youth Symphony and the Mt. Baker Youth Symphony, and directs Summer Sounds Music Festival each year, at Fort Worden, in Port Townsend, Washington. she also enjoys conducting musical theatre productions (Fiddler on the Roof, Oliver, The King and I, Fame, Cinderella)
