Matthew Rehfeldt, cellist and guitarist, was born into a musical family. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Redlands with a major in cello performance and a minor in classical guitar. Matthew was honored with the University of Redlands Most Outstanding Performer Award and was also winner of the Redlands Bowl Competition. He has performed as featured soloist with the University of Redlands Chamber Orchestra and the Skagit Symphony. Mr. Rehfeldt has held the post of principal cellist for many symphony orchestras including the Claremont Young Musicians' Orchestra, University of Redlands Chamber Orchestra, Mancini Symphony of the Desert, Southern California Youth Orchestra, Cascade Symphony and the Starry Night Orchestra. He is currently a freelance cellist performing regularly as soloist, principal cellist, and chamber musician throughout the Western Washington area.
